Camille Walala’s bold, vibrant geometric language is instantly recognisable: joyful, uplifting, and full of energy. In this piece she draws direct inspiration from the panoramic views of MediaCity and Salford Quays, mirroring the water, skyline and architecture in her own joyful metropolis.

Part of The Lowry’s 25th anniversary programme, Square Eyes is the first in a series of annual commissions inviting major international artists to respond to the gallery’s unique location and its views.
