Description

The original 1957 oil painting was inspired by a scene LS Lowry noticed while travelling on the upper deck of a bus. An umbrella propped against the wall first caught the artist’s attention, while LS Lowry added a personal detail by placing the artist’s initials on the nearby briefcase.
