About the Artist

Camille Walala is a French-born, London-based artist and designer celebrated for her bold use of colour, geometric pattern, and large-scale public installations. Working at the intersection of art, architecture, and urban design, she transforms everyday environments into spaces of joy and visual play.

Walala’s distinctive aesthetic — often described as a fusion of Memphis Group, tribal motifs, and pop culture — can be seen across city streets, building façades, and interiors worldwide. Landmark works include the Walala Parade in Leyton, HOUSE OF DOTS with LEGO, and installations at London Design Festival.

With a background in textile design, she launched her studio in 2009 and has since collaborated with major brands, cities, and cultural institutions. Her work consistently champions positivity, accessibility, and the power of design to lift spirits and foster connection.

In 2021, she released her first monograph, Taking Joy Seriously, which explores her creative journey through vibrant photography, interviews, and sketchbook excerpts.
