LS Lowry painted in watercolour only rarely, working with a borrowed set and producing fewer than a dozen works in the medium. This piece carries that sense of quiet rarity with it.
Crafted in the refined "Lucy" shape and finished with a delicate gold rim, this large-format breakfast cup and saucer is both a practical pleasure and a collector's piece. Artwork detail appears on both sides of the cup and at the centre of the saucer.
